Abstract
Cytotrienins A and B, two novel triene-ansamycins containing a unique l-aminocyclopropane carboxylic acid moiety, were isolated from the cul ture broth of Streptomyces sp. through a separation procedure guided b y the cytotoxic activity in vitro. The structures were elucidated on t he basis of spectroscopic data. Cytotrienins A and B exhibited a poten t apoptosis-inducing activity on human leukemia HL-60 cells. (C) 1997 Elsevier Science Ltd.
