Abstract
Long-term changes in water quality, sources of pollution, and the fish and benthic macroinvertebrate communities in the River Endrick catchm ent are described. The conservation status and management of the river are discussed and the need for research on nutrient loadings and the impact of recent fish introductions is emphasized.
