Abstract
This paper reports the outcome of brief strategic therapy, practiced a ccording to the model described by S. de Shazer, in an out-patient chi ld psychiatry clinic during 4 years. Forty-two clients were interviewe d in a span of 6 to 18 months after termination of therapy and asked a bout symptomatic improvement and satisfaction with the treatment. The results showed that brief strategic therapy achieved lasting complaint resolution in a high percentage of cases, high satisfaction rates wit h little relapse or need for additional interventions.
