Abstract
It has been shown that, during active and passive corrosion, Fe80-xCrx P13C7 amorphous alloys can be transformed into a crystalline modificat ion. Crystallization of alloys is a result of selective dissolution an d can lead to explosive depassivation upon long-term exposure of alloy s in HCl solutions.
