Abstract
The 'Seed Symposium' of the 23rd ISTA Congress was held at Buenos Aire s, Argentina in November 1992. This account provides a review of the o ral and poster papers presented in six sessions under the theme of qua lity seed for the present and future viz producing quality seed; seed lot potential performance a) viability, vigour and field performance b ) processing and storage; seed hygiene; seed testing for tropical and subtropical species; seed programmes for developing regions.
