The lower jaw of an onychodontid sarcopterygian is described from the
Pragian Posongchong Formation of Yunnan (China). It differs from all o
ther known onychodontids by its elongated symphysis and smooth tooth e
namel. Its overall resemblance to Strunius may be due to shared onycho
dontid, sarcopterygian, or even osteichthyan characters. This Chinese
form is the earliest known onychodontid.
