Abstract
Numerous Bombus hypnorum workers collected honeydew from aphids, Cinar a cembrae, on Pinus pumila 15 km southwest of the Aborigen Field Stati on (61-degrees-50'N, 149-degrees-20'W) in the Russian Far East in July , 1992. Five other species of bumble bees foraged on flowers in the im mediate vicinity but did not collect aphid honeydew. Aphids were on P. pumila only at the driest site P. pumila grew in the area.
