The lipophilicity of a series of buspirone related agents was studied
by means of reversed-phase HPLC using an octadecylsilane stationary ph
ase and a mixture of aqueous solution of sodium phosphate and methanol
as a mobile phase. Comparison of the measured capacity factors with l
og P values has shown very good correlations with regression correlati
on coefficients in the range of 0.994-0.996.
