Abstract
The draft of the monograph Dithranol as it is scheduled for the Europe an Pharmacopoeia needs some comments and corrections. The HPLC chromat ogram for the analysis of dithranol and its degradation products exhib its incomplete separation of dithranol and danthron, and a second syst em is required for the determination of related substances. A newly de veloped HPLC system is described to quantitate dithranol, its degradat ion products and related substances simultaneously.
