Electrical resistivity method has been used to study the short range o
rder (SRO) state of Ni3Fe alloy. Annealing Ni3Fe alloy at approximatel
y 10-degrees-C above the critical temperature T(c) followed by an isoc
hronal anneal to higher temperatures, increases electrical resistivity
with increase in temperature. On the other hand annealing the alloy a
pproximately 20-degrees-C above T(c) followed by isochronal anneal to
higher temperatures shows an electrical resistivity minimum. These two
different behaviours of the Ni3Fe alloy have been attributed to the p
resence of microdomain type SRO and homogeneous SRO states respectivel
y.
