Abstract
A new genus and species of the subfamily Entedoninae (Hymenoptera: Eul ophidae), Callifrons maculata Schauff, Yoshimoto, and Hansson are desc ribed based on specimens from Costa Rica, Mexico, and the United State s (Florida Missouri). Califrons is differentiated from other entedonin e genera by the expansion of the upper vertex and frons into two disti nct points laterad of the eyes and is considered most closely related to Closterocerus and Omphale. The host is unknown.
