Abstract
We report some optical and electrical properties of CdS thin films fab ricated by chemical-bath deposition. We investigated transmission, inf rared, ultraviolet, and photoluminescence spectra, and did scanning el ectron microscopy, x-ray diffraction, and resistivity measurements bef ore and after thermal annealing in a S2 atmosphere at different temper atures. A minimum bandgap and resistivity together with good definitio n in ultraviolet and infrared spectra at annealing temperature of 250- degrees-C support the existence of a predominant cubic phase for that annealing condition.
