Bk. Nayak et V. Panchapakesan, MINERALIZING FLUID ASCENT DIRECTION IN THE SULFIDE ASSEMBLAGE OF MOSABONI, SINGHBHUM, BIHAR, Journal of the Geological Society of India, 44(5), 1994, pp. 527-532
Distribution pattern of fluid inclusion homogenisation temperatures an
d assay of copper ores have been used to ascertain the mineralising fl
uid ascent direction. The trigonometric relationships to calculate the
parameters of this direction have been derived which show that the be
aring of ascent of ore fluids is N53.-degrees-E-S53-degrees-W having p
lunge 38-degrees and rake 77-degrees. There is high probability of enc
ountering rich ores underneath 30th level in a direction opposite to f
luid ascent at selected locations.
