Abstract
It has been formulated and solved a mathematical model for the analysi s and simulation of fluid bed reactors with locked enzymes in spherica l porous particles. The model includes the influence of internal and e xternal diffusional limitations, as well as the probable reversibility of the enzymatic reaction. As a result of the simulation, the influen ce on the conversion of different design parameters is obtained. This model has been experimentally proved with the ONPG/ beta-galactosidase system locked in Chromosorb-W.
