Abstract
Three new caffeic acid esters [3 beta,23-dihydroxy-olean-12-en-28-oic acid 3 beta-caffeate, 3 beta,23-dihrdroxy-olean-12-en-28-oic acid 23-c affeate and 3 beta,23-dihydroxy-lup-20(29)-en-28-oic acid 3 beta-caffe ate] of triterpene alcohols and another four known compounds of this t ype were isolated from the outer bark of Betula pubescens. Complete as signments of H-1 and C-13 NMR spectra of these compounds are given.
