Abstract
Three new nor-cucurbitacin glucosides were isolated from the root of C aputo nigri (Cabeca-de-negro) and their structures established as 29-n or-1,2,3,4,5, 10-dehydro-2,3, 16 alpha,20R,22 xi,25-hexahydroxy-11-oxo cucurbita-6,23-diene 2-0-beta-D-glucopyranoside and copyranosyl(1-2)be ta-D-glucopyranoside(sophorose), and 1,2,3,4,5,10-dehydro-2,3,16 oxy-4 ,9,14-trimethyl-19-norpregn-6-ene-11,20-dione 2-0-beta D-glucopyranosi de on the basis of detailed spectroscopic analysis.
