BIBENZYL CANNABINOID AND BISBIBENZYL DERIVATIVE FROM THE LIVERWORT RADULA-PERROTTETII

A new bibenzyl cannabinoid has been isolated as a minor component from the ether extract of the liverwort Radula perrottetii. Its structure was established by spectral means and by comparing its spectral data w ith those of an authentic compound which had been previously synthesiz ed. A new bisbibenzyl, isoperrottetin A, has also been isolated from t he same species, along with three known bisbibenzyls, six prenyl biben zyls, three sesquiterpenoids and delta-tocopherol. The structures were established by spectral means and chemical evidence.
