Abstract
We discuss structural relations between the Tau Method and the Finite Element Method (discrete step h). For a Dirichlet problem in dimension s one and two, we show that the difference between the solution given by each of these methods is bounded by Ch in the norm of the Sobolev s pace H-0(1) (Omega).
