M. Segovia et C. Vicente, 2-STEP REGULATION OF ALGAL ADENYLYL-CYCLASE ACTIVITY BY PHYTOCHROME IN THE LICHEN EVERNIA-PRUNASTRI, Journal of Experimental Botany, 45(279), 1994, pp. 1497-1500
Adenylyl cyclase activity of Evernia prunastri thalli is enhanced by r
ed light pulses in a two-step way: a very rapid increase of activity a
fter the first 5 min of red light, which is not inhibited by cyclohexi
mide, and a slow enhancement following successive red light pulses at
the beginning of each 30 min incubation. The last response is complete
ly reversed by far-red following red light and inhibited by cyclohexim
ide.
