Abstract
The 'Taiwan tube' is an inexpensive pneumatic artificial larynx made i n Taiwan. The device, which is a tracheo-oral shunt containing a reson ator, is popular with laryngectomees in Hong Kong. This paper reports its use and describes its working dynamics which compare favourably wi th those of other forms of voice restoration.
