Leaf spot and blight of Dieffenbachia amoena caused by Pseudomonas mar

noticed during winter on plants in the greenhouse, the first signs we
re small, elongated, light brown lesions on the surface of the leaves.
As the infection spreads, leaves become completely brown and collapse
. The identity of the causal agent was determined by biochemical, nutr
itional and pathogenecity tests as well as by comparison of whole-cell
protein profiles of the isolates under study with those of type strai
ns.
