Abstract
Carbazoles are synthesized and tested for antimycobacterial properties (M. tuberculosis H 37 Ra, Middlebrook-7H9-broth). - The different ant imycobacterial properties of diastereomeres are examined using compoun ds 32 and 33, those of a racemic compound and the (+)-enantiomer are t ested with (+/-)-12/(+)-12 and (+/-)-5/(+)-5, respectively. - (+)-12 i s prepared by enantioselective synthesis.
