Abstract
A case of bilateral macrocystic hip disease in a 51-year-old male is r eported. Nonsteroidal antiinflammatory agents were effective initially . Other symptoms included heel pain and intermittent anterior chest pa in, leading to the diagnosis of spondyloarthropathy. This unusual form of hip disease may be due to a postinflammatory osteoarthritic proces s and is generally severe, requiring hip replacement surgery.
