A new synthesis route of fine spherical precursor powders for YBaCuO s
uperconducters via thermal decomposition of triethylene complexes has
been developed. YBa2Cu3O7-delta and YBa2Cu3O8 ceramics with sharp supe
rconducting transitions can be obtained in one step from the 1 mu m gr
ained precursor powder.
