Abstract
Using 64 middle-level managers of a large company as subjects, this st udy investigated the interacting effects on employees' attitudes of lo cus of control, a personality variable, and task difficulty, a situati onal variable. The results of a 2 x 2 analysis of variance provided ev idence to support the notion that locus of control interacted with tas k difficulty to affect employees' attitudes.
