Abstract
By using the immunolabelling technique, the cellular localization of g lutathione transferase in Proteus mirabilis was investigated. Evidence was obtained indicating a significant higher content of glutathione t ransferase in the periplasmic than cytoplasmic space. This result furt her support the idea that bacterial glutathione transferase is involve d in xenobiotic detoxication.
