A case of solitary brain metastasis from a transitional carcinoma of t
he bladder occuring 20 months after resection is presented. The patien
t underwent gross total removal followed by external irradiation and i
ntravenous chemotherapy. The tumor in this quite unusual occurrence ha
d a very characteristic aspect, both operatively and at pathologic exa
mination. We believe that these patients should be managed aggressivel
y whenever possible.
