Continuous dependence on modeling results are derived for an ill-posed problem describing penetrative convection in a porous medium. Using a logarithmic convexity argument, we show that solutions to the governi ng equations backward in time depend Holder continuously on changes in the form of the buoyancy law provided they satisfy certain constraint s.
