Abstract
In the investigation of the spectral theory of non-selfadjoint ellipti c boundary value problems involving an indefinite weight function, the re arises the problem of obtaining L(p) a priori estimates for solutio ns about points of discontinuity of the weight function. Here we deal with this problem for the case where the weight function vanishes on a set of positive measure.
