Abstract
The aim of this study was to improve the administration form of the or opharyngeal decontaminating mixture manufactured at the ''Pharmacie Ce ntrale des hopitaux de Paris'', Natrosol 250 HHX Pharm(R) was selected to prepare a powder meant to be dispersed in the buccal cavity, becom e a bioadhesive in situ and form a gel with saliva. A test of in vitro bioadhesion was used to select the best Natrosol 250 HHX Pharm(R) rat io. A test of ex vivo bioadhesion, on bovine sublingual mucous membran e, permitted us to compare the actual gel form with powder and granula r forms and to demonstrate a progressive release of the drugs from the granular form.
