A method for analysis of monosaccharide aldose enantiomers using capil
lary zone electrophoresis is presented, Based on results published ear
lier a single run resolution of derivatives of all 16 derivatized hexo
ses, 7 out of 8 pentoses, 3 out of 4 tetroses and two trioses was achi
eved. A second run allows additional determination of the remaining al
dose-derivatives. Capability of adaption to special analytical problem
s is demonstrated.
