Abstract
A distinctive new species of mayfly, Paraleptophlebia kirchneri, is de scribed and illustrated from Trousdale County, Tennessee. The adult ma le of the new species is easily distinguished from all other North Ame rican species by the long penis lobes with a ventral-subterminal, fork ed appendage.
