B. Cretin et al., THERMOELASTIC IMAGING USING OPTICAL INTERFEROMETER - SENSITIVITY OPTIMIZATION AND SUPERRESOLUTION, Journal de physique. IV, 4(C7), 1994, pp. 7-10
The noncontacting thermoelastic microscope is based on Ar+ laser excit
ation and optical probe detection. The main problem is to adjust the e
xperimental parameters for sensitivity optimisation. This paper points
out that 3-D model predicts the sample thermoelastic behaviour. Calcu
lated criteria enable the choice of the best values of parameters. Exp
erimental results show the advantage of an imaging criterion : particu
larly contrast of metallic sample images is related to the relative po
sition of excitation and detection beams.
