Abstract
Possible approaches to thermal wave based measurement of thermal diffu sivity are considered. The calculation of the transverse photodeflecti on signal in the framework of wave optics prove to be a more accurate approach compared to that of geometrical optics. The influence of the account of wave optical effects on the accuracy of the thermal diffusi vity determination is theoretically analyzed under various conditions.
