Abstract
We measure shock wavefront transition times of optoacoustic (OA) trans ients generated in air during laser ablation and employ the solution o f the point explosion model to determine blast energy of the OA transi ents. We examine the dependence of OA energy conversion efficiency on laser energy and pulse duration.
