Abstract
We describe magnetic measurements on Bi2Sr2CaCu2O8 (BSCCO) fibers irra diated by neutrons up to a fluence of 2.2 X 10(15) cm(-2). The irradia tion effects are similar to those reported for BSCCO crystals irradiat ed by fast neutrons. In particular, the critical current J(c) increase s with the increase fluence of neutrons and the irreversibility line i s shifted gradually with irradiation to higher fields and temperatures . Results obtained from relaxation measurements show only a slight inc rease of the effective barriers as a consequence of the irradiation.
