Abstract
Thyroid abnormalities, in general, were not thought to be specifically associated with either isolated or recurrent pregnancy loss. Recent s tudies using more sensitive means of detection suggested a relationshi p between the presence of certain antithyroid antibodies and spontaneo us first trimester abortion.
