SIMPLIFIED DESIGN OF PRINTED TRANSVERSE D IPOLE ARRAYS

This article presents a new synthesis method for transverse dipole arr ays fed with electromagnetic coupling. This method starts with the ana lysis of data provided by an EM simulator in the hypothesis of neglect ed coupling between dipoles. Consequently an equivalent circuit for an y dipole is presented. The analysis of the equivalent circuit results is simple and allows exploration in the frequency domain with commerci al CAD software. The whole synthesis process is here detailed and seve ral realisations are considered.
