Abstract
The design of optical transmission systems which involve various optic al components requires the use of simulations tools. The objective of the collaboration between France Telecom CNET and I.P.S.I.S. is to sup ply the required tools.This paper gives an overview concerning the opt ical components models. An exemple is developed. The extension of the software in the optical domain is also considered.
