Sjt. Hayton et B. Peart, MEASUREMENTS OF CROSS-SECTIONS FOR THE IONIZATION OF AL-RESOLVED ELECTRONS( AND CD+ BY ENERGY), Journal of physics. B, Atomic molecular and optical physics, 27(21), 1994, pp. 5331-5339
Absolute cross sections for the single ionization of Al+ and Cd+ by en
ergy-resolved electrons have been measured from their thresholds to 11
5 eV and 95 eV respectively. The Al+ cross section was similar in magn
itude to those reported by Montague and Harrison and Belic et al but d
iffered in detail. Contributions from excitation-autoionization and th
e states that may give rise to it are discussed. The Cd+ cross section
was similar to that of Belic et al except that considerable step-like
structure due to indirect ionization processes was resolved for elect
ron energies above 20 eV.
