Abstract
For discrete coefficient IIR filters, low sensitivity (e.g. wave) stru ctures have been preferred to other (e.g. direct, cascade and parallel ) structures due to their requirement for shorter wordlengths. Multipl ier blocks, using redundancy between coefficients, can make these stru ctures comparable or superior to wave filters in implementation comple xity.
