Abstract
X-ray interferometry with a strong gas absorber in one of the split be am paths is investigated. The experimental results with synchrotron ra diation showed good agreements with naive theoretical predictions. The statistical fluctuation of the elementary component is negligible eve n for the almost ideal gas absorber to the extent of the experimental data.
