The destribution of labile dissolved forms of heavy metals (Zn, Cu, Cd
, Pb) in the Kara Sea and Ob and Yenisei rivers estuary zones was stud
yed in detail for the first time. The investigations were performed by
anodic stripping voltammetry method. The sharp increase of labile ele
ments forms takes place in the near estuary zones, especialy in the ne
ar bottom layers. The consentration decreases to the background amount
in the open sea. Higher contents of labile forms of Zn, Cd and Pb was
found in the Yenisei estuary water rather than in the Ob estuary. It
correlates with anomalous high contents of fulvic and humic acids (''y
ellow substance'') in the Ob estuary. It leads to connection of the ba
sic part of elements into metal-organic complexes. Consentrations of l
abile forms of hevy metals in surface and especially nearbottom waters
of the Ob and Yenisei estuary zones are higher than their content in
surface waters of the Lena delta and the Laptev Sea.
