Abstract
The problem of increasing the diversity of effective aphid resistance genes in cereals is considered. Results of a study of inheritance of r esistance in wheat and sorghum are presented. Differential interaction of three aphid species with genotypes of host plants is shown. The ne cessity of analyzing intraspecific variability of insects for the stud y of genetic mechanisms of pest adaptation to resistant varieties is d iscussed.
