Abstract
A homosesquiterpenoid, 5'-dimethyl-4'-heptenylidene)-1-methylcyclohexe ne, has been identified as a major component of the scent emitted by c alling males of Eurygaster integriceps. Minor components of the scent included vanillin. The E. integriceps male homosesquiterpenoid is an a ddition to the list of sesquiterpenoids identified as components of ma le attractant sex pheromones in pentatomoid Heteroptera.
