ac impedance spectroscopy studies were carried out in polycrystalline
samples of Li2Zr1-xTixO3:0 < x < 0.3, solid solutions. These materials
present mixed ionic and electronic conductivity: sigma=1X10(-6) (Omeg
a cm)(-1) at 400 degrees C rising to sigma=1X10(-3) (Omega cm)(-1) at
750 degrees C. It was found that the conductivity and the E(a) values
decrease with increasing Ti4+ content. The dielectric constant decreas
es sharply with increasing Ti content. Using the same ac data the hopp
ing rate characteristics and de component were investigated.
