GEOCHEMISTRY OF GOLD IN THE METAMORPHIC C OMPLEX OF THE NORTHERN PRILADOZHYE

New data on golddistribution in the zonal metamorphic complex of andal usite-sillimanite type are presented. The gold content in the metapeli tic rocks of the Northern Priladozhye are corresponding to the average gold content in the similar rocks from other regions of the world. Th e lowest gold content is peculiar to the rocks of high temperature fie ld of the amfibolitic facies. Host minerals and mineral phases of maxi mal gold content are revealed. The redistribution of gold in main rock forming minerals in the process of progressive metamorphism is demonst rated. The dependence of gold content in biotite and stoichiometry of the mineral is established, the latter being concerned as one of gold concentrators.
