To desribe the nitrogen and reduced sulfur cycles in the oxic - anoxic
conditions a mathematical model was proposed. The dependences of the
transformations rates upon the oxygen concentration were parameterised
by the semiempirical functions. The modeling calculations were provid
ed on the base of the diffusion equation for the unconservative substa
nce without account of the advective and horizontal diffusion terms. T
he boundary conditions of the 1 and 2 (Orlansky similarity) types were
used. The results of calculations were found to be adequate to the ob
served sitution.
