The behavior of benz(a)perene (BP) was studied in the natural systems:
water - atmosphere, river - sea, water - bottom sediments, water - hy
drobionts. The extent of BP concentration in comparison with water was
as following: in the surface microlayer from 1.4 to 25.0; in the bott
om sediments from 1 . 10(3) to 14 . 10(3); in the molluscs from 7 to 3
00; in the algae from 3 . 10(3) to 6 . 10(3); in the planctone - 8 . 1
0(3). The balance of BP was carried out by use of the data of supply,
the content and the discharge in the ecosystem of the gulf. The exceed
ung of BP supply significance (121.5 kg/year) over its discharge from
the ecosystem (116.3 kg/year) is concerned as a reason of negative eco
logical state of the gulf.
