Based on the simulation relation between computational structural mech
anics and optimal control, the multi-level substructural analysis meth
od in structural mechanics is used for the optimal solution of the con
strained nonlinear control system. The nonlinear control system and it
s constraint are linearized first and the mixed energy of the time-int
erval is introduced, then the condensation formulae of the time-interv
al mixed energy are established according to the variational principle
as in the theory of structural mechanics. The iterative algorithm is
designed for the solution of the above nonlinear control system, and a
corresponding example is given.
